Matcha Bowl - Peach / 抹茶碗

Sourced from the well-known Gifu Prefecture, the origin of Mino ware which has 1,300 years of history.

The shape of this chawan is a flat type, also known as 'Natsu Chawan' — Summer Chawan. This flat type has a wide and flat shape of mouth which gives the whisked matcha a greater surface, allowing it to cool down faster in the warm summer months.

The spectacular crackle glaze of grey and the shape are so pleasing to the eyes. The texture is smooth glaze while the bottom is coarse so it doesn't move easily while whisking tea.

All Pottery Matcha Bowl products are wholly handmade in Japan. Each piece is unique; slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
