Matcha Bowl - Oribe Tokusa / 抹茶碗 織部十草

Quick view

It is a Seto ware made in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, famous as the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan.

The shape of this chawan is a half-cylindrical type, with straight sides and a flatter bottom. This shape makes whisking matcha easier as the vertical walls help keep the tea from splashing over the lip.

In addition to the coarse bottom and heavyweight, it is great for matcha lovers to stabilise the bowl on any surface.

All Pottery Matcha Bowl products are wholly handmade in Japan. Each piece is unique; slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
