“Mimipyon” was the name of a beloved rabbit who became a source of comfort, joy, and unconditional love. Through time spent together, the artist discovered the charm of rabbits — their gentleness, their sensitivity, and the way they bring warmth into everyday life.

Those feelings are carefully translated into clay.

Every rabbit is shaped and painted by hand, with its fur rendered strand by strand. No two expressions are exactly the same. Some appear shy, some curious, some quietly watching — much like real rabbits.

The mugs themselves are formed entirely by hand, using natural clay bodies and soft, earthy glazes. The gentle curves, comfortable handle, and warm textures are designed to feel grounding in the palm — a small but meaningful moment of pause in daily life.

The artist named her studio with the wish that more people would come to know the true charm of rabbits — something she feels is often overlooked.

It is her hope that these rabbits may bring a warm feeling into your everyday rituals — whether during a quiet morning coffee, afternoon tea, or simply resting on your shelf.

As all parts of the piece are handmade in Japan, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture or tiny black dots might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
