Wasabi Grater Samehisa 11 cm / Shark Skin
Fresh wasabi roots are very precious all around the world. The secret to enjoying them in the right way lies in the grating. Japanese chefs often regard Shark Skin graters as the exclusive premier tool when preparing wasabi because of their airy and creamy texture.
This grater differs significantly from other materials, such as metals, plastic or ceramics. They can produce an even finer grating surface, much closer to sanding paper.
We tried to find fresh wasabi roots everywhere in Melbourne, and by coincidence, we found them in our retail home market - the South Melbourne market. It was surprisingly easy and satisfying when we tried them on these graters. And the fantastic amours came out immediately which we have not experienced before. A great grater for home!
As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
