Suitable for direct fire, this teapot was made in Tokoname City, which is known throughout Japan as a pottery town with a thousand-year history. And Tokoname ware is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan.

A pot with an in-built strainer allows it to cook herb medicine or boil teas. 

As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
