About Furukawa Seicha(古川製茶)
Furukawa Seicha is a family of tea farmers located in Gokasho, Uji City, the birthplace of Uji tea. For generations, the Furukawa family has been cultivating tea using traditional Uji methods, focusing on "covered cultivation" (覆い下栽培) and "natural style" (自然仕立て) growing techniques. Their teas are handpicked once a year during spring and processed meticulously to preserve the rich flavour and aroma. Today, Furukawa Seicha continues to produce award-winning teas, delivering the true taste of Uji with every cup.

How to Enjoy Our Matcha
- If possible, sift the matcha using a tea strainer for a smoother texture.
- Measure 1.7g (about one teaspoon) of matcha into a tea bowl. Add 5–10ml of water and mix into a paste using a Chasen (bamboo whisk).
- Add 50ml of hot water, then whisk vigorously until the matcha becomes creamy.
- Enjoy your freshly prepared matcha!
