Noriko Sato of Mizutama Kobo creates ceramics that bring together the warmth of handmaking and the joy of everyday use. After first encountering pottery in her early twenties, she returned to the practice with a renewed sense of purpose, drawn to the idea of making with her hands in a way that could remain part of her life for years to come. Her work reflects that feeling closely: pieces that are approachable, affectionate, and full of personality, yet still grounded in function. In her cat-shaped bowls and small vessels, soft forms, hand-drawn details, and individually painted patterns give each piece its own expression, offering the kind of charm that naturally brightens the table and becomes part of daily life.

As all parts of the piece are handmade in Japan, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture or tiny black dots might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
