Shinzangama Yamatsu is a Mino ware kiln with around 150 years of history in the heart of Japan’s largest ceramic-producing region. Rather than seeing tableware as the centre of the table, Yamatsu describes ceramics as a quiet supporting presence — something that helps food, flowers, and everyday moments shine. Working alongside the many specialised craftspeople and industries that make up the Mino ware community, they continue to create pieces that bring gentle warmth and usefulness into homes in Japan and beyond.
This single-flower vase from Yamatsu has a quiet architectural shape, formed with gentle, stacked angles that feel both modern and softened by hand. The pale white-blue glaze gives it a calm presence, making even one small stem or seasonal branch feel considered.
As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
