Mino ware Teapot 490ml - Black Cat / 黒猫ティーポット

Mino ware (美濃焼) has been made in Gifu Prefecture (岐阜県), central Japan, for over 1,300 years — one of the oldest and most prolific ceramic traditions in the country.

This little teapot is decorated with a gathering of black cats — peeking, curling, padding quietly across the surface in the way cats do. It holds just under 500ml, enough for a pot shared between two, and the kind of piece you find yourself reaching for even on ordinary mornings. Mino potters have long worked playful motifs into everyday ware without losing any of the craft, and this one is no exception.

As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
