Mino ware Chawanmushi Bowl With Lid - Orange Line / 茶碗蒸し碗
Mino ware (美濃焼) has been made in Gifu Prefecture (岐阜県), central Japan, for over 1,300 years — one of the oldest and most prolific ceramic traditions in the country.
The orange line pattern brings a warmth to the table that the blue and black variations in this range don't quite have — the same clean repeat of horizontal stripes, but in a tone that feels autumnal and a little more inviting. It's a wider bowl than some in the series, with a slightly lower profile that gives it a grounded, settled look. At 130ml, it's sized for a classic chawanmushi portion, and the colour makes it particularly appealing when you're cooking for guests.
As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
