Mino ware Chawanmushi Bowl With Lid - Winter Morning / 茶碗蒸し碗

Mino ware (美濃焼) has been made in Gifu Prefecture (岐阜県), central Japan, for over 1,300 years — one of the oldest and most prolific ceramic traditions in the country.

Clean lines, white porcelain, a fitted lid — this bowl doesn't ask for much attention, which is part of why it works so well. The cobalt stripe pattern is understated enough to sit alongside almost any other tableware, and the 170ml capacity makes it genuinely practical for chawanmushi, small soups, or steamed dishes. Dishwasher and microwave safe, so it can be used as often as you like without any particular fuss.

As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
