Mino ware Chawanmushi Bowl With Lid - Blue Line / 茶碗蒸し碗

Mino ware (美濃焼) has been made in Gifu Prefecture (岐阜県), central Japan, for over 1,300 years — one of the oldest and most prolific ceramic traditions in the country.

Of the chawanmushi bowls in this series, the blue line is the most minimal — just a repeat of fine cobalt stripes on white, consistent and calm. That restraint makes it particularly easy to use across different table settings, and the covered form gives even a simple midweek dinner a sense of occasion. Microwave and dishwasher safe, so the care is as unfussy as the design.

As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
