Mino ware Sometsuke Bowl - 10.5cm / 藍友禅 菊形小鉢

Mino ware (美濃焼) has been made in Gifu Prefecture (岐阜県), central Japan, for over 1,300 years — one of the oldest and most prolific ceramic traditions in the country.

The petal-like edge gives this plate a soft, floral presence, while the detailed blue pattern adds the feeling of textile work translated into porcelain. It is a lovely serving piece for the centre of the table, especially when you want one dish to feel quietly celebratory.

As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
