MARUHIRO - Aikoma Dinner Plate 28 cm / マルヒロ 藍駒 プレート

This 28 cm dinner plate from Maruhiro's Aikoma series is great for dinner and sharing food as a large platter. 

The slightly thick-bodied shape of the Aikoma series exudes warmth with hand-painted lines of varying shade and stress. The face of each dish is beautifully sculpted using the traditional kannabori technique, a Japanese form of decorative chattering.

Each line drawn by hand has different shades and strengths, and the slightly thicker shape gives a warm finish. The dough for the pots and plates is carved with canna, and the surface of the bowl has an expression.

As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
