Kurojoka Shochu Sake Warmer Set / 焼酎ぢょか 熱燗セット
Kurojoka (黒ぢょか) is a sake vessel for shochu(焼酎) that originated in Kagoshima Prefecture.
The unique flat curve is said to model Sakurajima(桜島), the symbol of Kagoshima Prefecture.
The more you use it, the more it will shine black, and the taste of shochu will become milder.
Since it is heat-resistant pottery, it can be used not only in an open fire but also in a microwave. (Important: Be sure to remove the handle when using the microwave. There is a wire in the handle, so it is very dangerous to heat it as it is.)
Add the shochu that has been diluted with water in advance and heats it over low heat.
It is completed when it warms up to about lukewarm water.
As the whole piece is handmade in Japan, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
