Edo Kiriko(江戸切子) is a cut glass craft known for its gorgeously intricate patterns.

It originated about 200 years ago in Edo/江戸, the city now called Tokyo. Over the years, the craft evolved, and Edo Kiriko continues to innovate today. Now, Edo Kiriko is designated by Japan as a traditional handicraft.

The glass is melted at 1,350 degrees Celsius and skillfully finished into a double structure of clear and coloured glass. Edo faceted glass artisans with skilful techniques carefully cut (shave) each piece of glass one by one.

Elevate your home bar collection with the exquisite Kimoto Glass, a modern adaptation of the traditional Edo Kiriko Glass that expertly marries historic craftsmanship with contemporary design. This hand-made, one-of-a-kind Rocks Glass is specifically crafted to savour premium Japanese whiskey.

The Kimoto style emerges from a unique process that layers black glass over transparent glass, followed by meticulous hand-cutting and sanding by skilled artisans. This results in a stunning, intricate design that reflects the precision and heritage of Edo Kiriko techniques.

Celebrated as a National Craft, Edo Kiriko's legacy dates back to the Edo period, making this glass not only a functional item for whiskey aficionados but also a piece of Japanese cultural heritage. Whether as an addition to your collection or as a thoughtful gift, this glass is sure to impress and enhance the whiskey-tasting experience.

As the whole piece is handmade in Japan, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
