KIKIME Amime Series - With Half Black Net - 22.5 cm / Tonkatsu Plate

This 22.5 cm plate with a warm glaze and a half-moon black net is perfect for tonkatsu (Japanese fried pork cutlet), steamed foods and moist ingredients such as salad.

This Kikime Amime series is a blend of traditional warmth and contemporary design.
Mino ware from Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, which boasts as the ceramic town in Japan, and the technology of Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, which is known worldwide as a city of metalworking, are fused.

While retaining the warmth of Mino ware, the modern plate that blends in with the modern dining table and the net that blends into it brings out the liveliness of the daily menu.

The plate
A rim with a warm red clay peek and a modern Mino ware plate with a rich expression of glaze are all in one. A plate was designed with fine adjustments, including the shrinkage rate during baking, mixing and adjusting the glaze and baking time according to the season so that the nets fit together properly.

The Net
Made in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, it has a delicate impression of a chic black, which with a matte texture, is highly durable because it uses a technique that causes an oxidation reaction called black dyeing on the stainless steel base.

Ease of handling plays an active role in everyday life. This tableware's smooth texture is designed to be cleaned easily. In addition, since the net does not have legs, it is not bulky and can be stacked and stored in a small gap, and the net and plate can be separated and stacked.

As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
