KAGAMI Crystal Multilayer Coloured Rock Glass - Moonbow / 月虹
This whisky glass is a stunning work of art designed and cut by Master of Traditional Crafts Satoshi Nabetani (鍋谷聰). The glass features Edo Kiriko's traditional pattern of Chrysanthemum Mesh, rendered boldly in cuts that stretch from the side to the bottom. These cuts converge to form a large crystal star that shines brilliantly at the bottom of the glass.
The Gekko whisky glass is a Kasaneirome or multilayer coloured glass, using crystal glass in two different colours. This creates a glamorous and unique contrast of clear glass and multiple tinted glasses, realized through the refined design and advanced skills of a traditional craftsman.
The name "Gekko" translates to "moonbow," inspired by this rare weather phenomenon that reflects the beauty and rarity of this exquisite piece. Every sip from this glass is a true indulgence, showcasing the skill and craftsmanship of one of Japan's finest artisans.
As the whole piece is handmade in Japan, irregularities in size, weight, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
