The Hana-Kagami rock glass is a dazzling creation by Edo Kiriko master Satoshi Nabetani (鍋谷聰), a certified Traditional Craftsman. This piece captures the fleeting brilliance of a kaleidoscope, where every angle reveals a new interplay of light, pattern, and colour. Rich with artistry, the design reflects Nabeya’s ability to blend precision cutting with an almost dreamlike sense of movement and depth.
Crafted using the kasane irome(重ね色目) technique, this glass layers delicate lavender and amber hues, brought to life through the meticulous kiku-tsunagi / 菊繋ぎ (chrysanthemum-link) pattern and elongated petal motifs. The result is a visual symphony—refined yet radiant—that transforms even the simplest pour into an immersive experience.
