KAGAMI Crystal Edi-Kiriko Rock Glass - Hishibana Blue / 篠崎 英明 - 菱花
Designed and cut by Hideaki Shinozaki (伝統工芸士 篠崎英明), a certified Traditional Craftsman of Edo Kiriko. This rock glass brings a fresh interpretation to the traditional hishika (菱花) motif. Shinozaki’s refined technique transforms the classic pattern into a continuous sequence of interlocking diamonds that ripple across the surface like a beautifully woven textile. Each line is executed with exceptional precision, drawing the eye into the depth and rhythm of the design.
Renowned for his artistry in floral and geometric expressions, Shinozaki engraves this piece with a delicacy that makes the glass feel almost alive. The softly rounded form rests naturally in the hand, offering both comfort and quiet elegance. As light catches the meticulously carved facets, the glass reveals its full brilliance—an invitation to savour every moment with a sense of beauty, craftsmanship, and appreciation.
As the whole piece is handmade in Japan, irregularities in size, weight, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
