Saliu Shinogi Rice Bowl - 3 Colours
If you love the natural look of fired clay, you cannot miss this beautiful rice bowl series.
This rice bowl series presented by Saliu Japan has excellent attention to detail and attractive handicraft features.
Artisans made the prototype by carefully shaving the rays on the bowl one by one. In addition, they also made the best use of the texture of soft soil and then fired the bowls in the Shinko kiln. It was founded in 1895 in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, where Mino ware is produced. Shinko kiln is famous for its unique firing method, which creates a soft colour with the lustre and vividness of the glaze.
The look of them may show a rough or earthy texture. But because of a layered glaze on it, it is smooth instead.
As the whole piece is handmade in Japan, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
