Part of Kousaido's less-smoke Kyoto incense range, the Four Seasons collection gathers four scents inspired by the turning of the Japanese year. Kousaido spent years developing a stick that lingers beautifully while producing very little smoke, which makes these as well suited to a living room as to a quiet moment of offering.

This set gathers all four scents in their seasonal wrappers — one bundle of each, presented in a navy box with a simple white band. A thoughtful, modestly sized gift, and an easy way to try the whole collection before settling on a favourite.

Yae-zakura (Sakura) / 八重桜 — Inspired by double-petalled cherry blossoms in full spring bloom.

Sarasouju (Sal Tree) / 沙羅双樹 — Inspired by the sal tree, standing quietly in the night.

Momiji (Autumn Leaves) / もみじ — Inspired by the deepening colours of maple leaves in autumn.

Hakubai (White Plum) / 白梅 — Inspired by white plum blossoms bringing a dignified colour to a snowy landscape.
