Handmade Chopstick Rest - Fallen Leaf / 手作り 箸置き 落ち葉

Using the techniques that live on in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, the town of ceramics, Ceramic Japan has had a strong commitment to design and has turned the ideas of its designers into reality through its technical capacities. 

This chopstick rest from Ceramic Japan is made from a mould of a green leaf. Each piece is carefully finished so you can feel the lightness of a natural green leaf. In addition, the colours are also created using a technique called kneading, which involves mixing pigments into the soil. 

The chopstick rest that is gently placed conveys the feeling of the season and the spirit of hospitality. Sometimes it can be a magical item on the dining table.

As the whole piece is handmade in Gifu, Japan, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
