Folktale of Japan Mug Cup - Momotaro / 桃太郎
"Momotaro / 桃太郎" is a well-known Japanese folktale about a boy who was born from a peach. One day, an old couple found a giant peach floating down the river. When they opened the peach, they found a baby boy inside, whom they named Momotaro ("Peach Boy").
As Momotaro grew up, he became very brave and decided to go on a journey to defeat a group of evil demons who had been terrorizing nearby villages. Along the way, he met a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant, who offered to help him defeat the demons.
Together, the group travelled to the demon's castle and defeated them, retrieving the stolen treasures they had taken. Momotaro and his animal friends returned to their village as heroes, and everyone celebrated their victory.
