The technology of Chasaji (茶匙) making has been passed down for 500 years. From the raw material of a piece of harvested bamboo, it is still handmade with only one knife and human manual work.
As the whole piece is handmade in Japan, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and the number of prongs might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
