Special technique:

Hand wash ONLY for the filter. The white part of the coffee filter won't have the coffee stain as long as providing simple maintenance once a while (monthly or depending on the use frequency) - boil it with baking soda and water for 10 minutes. You can enjoy it for a very long time without spending money on paper filters.
