Chrysanthemum flowers have been used since the Heian period to dispel troubles because of their noble appearance and noble scent.

On each handmade tableware in this collection, chrysanthemum flowers are adorned throughout, and the thick, three-dimensional effect typical of Arita Japanese paint gives it a luxurious feel.

Made by Kouraku kiln (幸楽窯) in Japan, which specialises in Arita ware (有田焼), since 1865. 

As every piece has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
