Make Your Own Real Bread Lamp

What Is a Bread Lamp?
Crafted from Real Bread
Each Lamp ls One of a Kind and Made Entirely by Hand
The PAMPSHADE was created by Japanese artist Yukiko Morita from her desire to preserve the natural beautyof bread and give it a life beyond the bakery.
By carefully hollowing, drying and protecting real bread, Yukiko transforms something familiar and fleeting into a lasting piece of functional art.
About Yukiko Morita
Yukiko Morita was born and raised in Kobe, japan, and graduated from the Printmaking Department at Kyoto City University of Arts. While studying, she worked part-time at a local bakery, where she became deeply fascinated by the organic beauty and individual character of freshly baked bread
Unable to bear seeing unsold loaves discarded each day, she began taking them home—eating them, sharing them with friends, or displaying them like flowers. One evening, sunlight passed through a hollowed-out loaf, filling the dim room with a beautiful glow. That moment became the inspiration for PAMPSHADE and shaped her path as an artist.
