After years of product development of thin ink, it successfully produced black, a colour that was challenging to create.

In this Hana/華 series, the crystal glasses feature beautiful white flowers in a subtle black backdrop. The cutting portrays imagery of the "Queen of the Night."

To make the Hana series, Kagami artisans use a thin layer of black-coloured crystal glass placed on top of colourless, transparent crystal glass. With cutting and gravure sculpting, the lower layer of colourless, transparent crystal glass emerges, creating a vivid contrast with the coloured crystal glass layer to make for a beautiful object, portraying imagery of the "Water Lilies."
