This handmade Suribachi (grinding bowl) is a Japanese mortar. It is used for crushing different ingredients, such as sesame seeds, in Japanese cooking.

The Suribachi is a Porcelain mortar with a single mouth. It is also recommended for making your favourite sauce and dressing.
