"Kaguya Hime / かぐや姫" is a famous Japanese folktale about a beautiful princess who was found as a baby inside a glowing bamboo stalk. She grows up to become a stunning woman, and many men seek her hand in marriage. However, she sets impossible tasks for them, waiting for the suitor who can complete them all.

Eventually, Kaguya Hime reveals that she is actually a princess from the moon and must return to her true home. Her adoptive parents, who love her deeply, try to stop her from leaving. Kaguya Hime gives them a potion to wipe their memories of her so that they will not be sad when she is gone.

The story of Kaguya Hime teaches children about the fleeting nature of life and the importance of cherishing the time we have with loved ones. It is also a reminder of the beauty and mystery of the moon, which is a powerful symbol in Japanese culture.
