Cranes get along well with husbands and wives and are popular at weddings because they stay together for life.

It is also valued as a symbol of peace, and you can see cranes everywhere in Japan. Origami cranes, which have long been popular as a Japanese tradition, are now chopstick rests. It is recommended as an interior if you don't usually use chopsticks.

Each chopstick rest is handpainted, featuring the cuteness of an orizuru (lucky bird). 

As the whole piece is handcrafted in Japan, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
